Enjoying What Birmingham Has to Offer

For those of you studying in Birmingham in 2018, this year has some really interesting things going on. Nights-out, concerts and other attractions all make-up the overall experience of being a student in this city. So when you are not studying, need a break, want to socialise or simply want to get out for a bit, the various suggestions made in this blog should come in handy.

Hit the Town

There's no getting around it: no list of student activities would really be complete without the mention of student nights. For those of you out there studying in Birmingham, you have an impressive number of these to choose from.

One stand-out option you and your mates may want to jot down is Walkabout's Tuesday Night Twosdays. This night is just bursting with appealing things to lure you in. The Tuesday Night Twosdays offer £2 Drink Offers, 2 Floors and £2 Access All Areas Ticket, Free Popcorn, Free Table Tennis, Free T-Shirt Giveaways and More. If you can't get to Walkabout on Tuesday for whatever reason, don't worry; the fun at Walkabout is spread over different days there throughout the week.

 A Change of Pace

If you're looking for something that's perhaps a little different to that, then The Jam House could be a place to consider heading to. At The Jam House, you can see a number of live acts at reasonable prices, with jazz, blues and rock artists all getting the chance to perform there. Not only that but as well as all the sounds to be sampled here, you can sink your teeth into a truly tasty meal, too.

More For Less

For an all-around winner, why not take a look at Revolution? Situated on Broad Street, Five Ways, this fabulous bar is a classy place that boasts a fine mix of mainstream, house and R n B music. There's a two-for-one deal on certain cocktails between 5pm and 7pm, from Monday to Friday, and there's a chance to get 50% off food in January when you book in advance. A slightly different atmosphere perhaps, but it could be a very welcome change for you, especially if you're a bit tired of the usual night-out venues.

Big Laughs and Lots More

Getting by as a student in Birmingham is surely going to require some entertainment as well. And this city can certainly do that for you. One place you can find excellent entertainment is at The Bramhall. At this beautiful location, you can take a seat in the audience as the Bramhall Comedy Night is given the stage. Held on Thursday 15th February and featuring Tom Wrigglesworth and Andy Askins with Freddy Quinne as compere, this night promises to be jam-packed with laughs. A great evening for you and your friends, a ticket for students will only cost £5.75. If you miss it, or even if you just want a little more, there's another Bramhall Comedy Night on 15th March with a different line-up, for the same low price.

For anything else, one of the numerous events that are being held in Birmingham throughout the year should provide what you're looking for. Maybe have a glance online to learn more.
